DuraGlass Specification

WEIGHS LESS. HOLDS MORE.

Don’t let the lightweight material fool you. DuraGlass™ columns have an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio, and pound for- pound are stronger than steel in the lengthwise direction. They are stronger and have a higher flexural strength than timber, so you can depend on them for maximum load bearing capacity. The hollow center is useful as a channel for downspouts, wiring and plumbing. These columns are impact resistant and will not permanently deform under impact.

LOW MAINTENANCE — FOR LIFE!

All Turncraft Poly-Classic® Columns are virtually maintenance free. They are impervious to termite and carpenter ant attack as well as staining and decaying fungi. High-humidity environments have no effect on these non-porous, waterproof columns. All of our Poly-Classic Columns are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser. Warranty details are available from your distributor or our web site: www.

† The sample columns tested supported loads at least fi ve times the calculated value above prior to
failure. The load was applied concentrically through the axis of the column. Load values will be reduced if
columns are loaded eccentrically. Complete allowable loads documentation and installation instructions
are available online at www.. Loads are provided for your convenience only and are not
exact values. Consult a structural engineer for the most accurate load estimates. Split columns are not
load bearing, even if reassembled.
